In smaller spaces like studio apartments, the storage compartment helps recover otherwise unused space. In larger rooms, it serves as a convenient feature for keeping bedding easily accessible while freeing up storage elsewhere.

LeComfort’s storage function can be applied to all sizes and to any bed model featuring the following bed frames: FLOOR, SLANT, ROUND, STRONG, FLY, HOOF, FAN, PLANE and EVO.

Additionally, some upholstered storage bed models come with built-in drawers and shelves, making them even more practical.

Thanks to the thoughtful design of each product, every bed—whether 90 cm, 120 cm, 140 cm, 160 cm, or 180 cm wide—can be equipped with a storage mechanism.

 

This feature makes storage beds an excellent choice for various living spaces, from children’s rooms to master bedrooms.

 

Additionally, with a wide selection of models, you can choose between classic and traditional styles like Raffaello and Caravaggio or modern and design-focused options like Fenice and Monaco. You also have the flexibility to select the covering that complements your décor, thanks to a vast range of removable and washable upholstery choices.

Storage Compartment: What to Store and What to Avoid

The storage compartment, located beneath the bed frame and easily accessible via a convenient fabric handle, is designed to hold a variety of items beyond just bedding.

Here are some tips to make the most of this space-saving feature.

What to Store in the Compartment:

To keep your bedroom clean and organized, we recommend storing clean, dust-free items such as: sheets, blankets, and duvets (preferably vacuum-sealed in special bags), pillows and decorative cushions not in use, pajamas, towels, bathrobes, spare rugs and also children’s toys and books.

What Not to Store in the Compartment:

Avoid placing heavy items that could damage the bed’s base, as well as anything that could bring dirt into contact with your bedding. We strongly advise against storing: shoes, boots, and any type of footwear, muddy or dusty items that could stain the interior.

→ Tip: Whatever you decide to store, we recommend using storage boxes or vacuum-seal bags to maximize space and keep dust away from your belongings.

Types of Storage Mechanisms

LeComfort storage beds provide a practical and functional solution to optimize bedroom space, seamlessly combining design and utility. They are available with two different mechanisms, each offering unique features: the “contenitore” lift-up base and the “stay” lift-up base, as shown in the images below.

 

Both mechanisms share the same primary function: maximizing unused space inside the bed, making linens and other items easily accessible. The key difference lies in an additional feature: the “stay” mechanism allows the mattress to be lifted horizontally, significantly simplifying bed-making.

"Contenitore" lift-up base

This tilting opening system allows you to fully lift the bed base, providing access to the storage compartment underneath.

 

Compatible with bed frames: FLOOR, SLANT, ROUND, STRONG, FLY, FAN, EVO, HOOF, PLANE.

Available for bed bases: FLAT, TWIN, FINE, TRIO.

"Stay" Lift-Up Base

This system enables independent movements for:

 

  • Lifting the bed base horizontally, making bed-making easier.
  • Fully raising the base for convenient access to the storage compartment.

 

Compatible with bed frames: FLOOR, SLANT, ROUND, STRONG, PLANE.

 

Available for bed bases: FLAT, TWIN, FINE, TRIO.
